NIB starts the work of the Psychological Hub with the aim of supporting citizens of Ukraine who suffered from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

War is now a reality, a part of our present, which requires enormous resources from the country, and from each of us - victory on our own front.
In situations of constant stress, uncertainty, in conditions of collective negative experiences, two ways of personal transformation are possible - destructive and constructive.
Destructive: beliefs and behavioral strategies that do not allow adaptation to new living conditions, negative selection of information and globalization of the smallest problems prevail. As a result, these are depressive states, post-traumatic stress disorders, neurotic states, fears, etc.
The desire to return to the former way of life and longing for it without taking into account the immutability of new circumstances, living in the illusion that nothing is happening - leads only to destructive states.
Constructive differs, no matter how strange it may sound, in accepting the situation and developing specific methods of action to solve specific everyday daily problems, conscious regulation of the process of thinking about the trauma and its impact on life.
Constructiveness means accepting the situation, moving to planning "here and now". What I can do constructively: Awareness and use of effective ways to organize my life and help others. To support oneself, to get rid of the guilt for the war, not to bear responsibility for others (friends who did not go, relatives who remained in Ukraine).
During the reconstruction of the state, the return to normal life, the release of guilt is gradual. At this time, it is important to take care of your mental well-being, which is reflected in your biological health. Pay attention to yourself, little things that you once did not pay attention to (buying groceries, talking with friends on the phone, cooking goodies for children, makeup, manicure, cleaning the house and much more) - now they are very important. It is these little things, everyday rituals from the pre-war past that will be the key to your return to normal life when Ukraine wins and peace comes to the country.
The nation consists of each of us and we are all parts of a common national front, national faith and defense. And it is for the sake of the future of our children, for the sake of LIFE, as it is, for the sake of their families, for the sake of being able to breathe freely on their land and be the owner of their own home - our Heroes at the front defend our Motherland, give their lives, health to to be sure that every day their families go to sleep and wake up - LIVING, freely and independently, without guilt, enjoying every moment of freedom, independence and faith in the future.
Ask for help without guilt or shame, don't close in on yourself.
