How to act and where to apply if a person has disappeared

The National Information Bureau (hereinafter - NIB) reminds the algorithm of actions in case of loss of communication with your relatives during the Russian-Ukrainian war:
• Contact number of the NIB hotline - 1648 to inform about the disappearance of a relative;
• Apply to the National Police with a statement about the disappearance of a person and pass genetic material for DNA test in order to search a relative;
• Apply to the United Centre of the Security Service of Ukraine;
• Contact the ICRC delegation.
The NIB accepts the applications for:
• Captivity;
• Disappearance;
• Deportation/forced displacement of an adult;
• Deportation/forced displacement of a child;
• Forced mobilization in TOT;
• Death.
